A Tale of 2 Sconces – the surprise ending.

I’m so happy.

Our search for sconces has come to an end.  And we couldn’t be happier about it!

Who can relate?

You see the hubby and I can agree on a lot of things.  But when we can’t agree – it’s epic.  We’re like the Republicans and the Democrats – no one is budging.

We live in a craftsman style house and RP really wanted the sconces to be that classic wood and glass box light look.  Me, not so much.  I was gunning for an updated version of that.  So there we were – stuck like that for weeks.  It was our very own little government shut down.

And then it happened.  A week or so ago RP says “you know, we don’t really need sconces in the living room at all”.

And he was right!  Why are we killing ourselves over stupid sconces?

Our living room is on the “cozy” side and we don’t need the sconces for more light.  We have 2 very nice floor lamps that do the job beautifully.

So there you have it.  We just saved ourselves a bunch of stress-filled conversations and money.  I’m so happy!!

Next week our painter will swing by to cover up the sconce openings and re-paint.  Done and done!

And we can all move on with our lives.
